Rectangle vs Circle
Rectangular (Apple Watch):
- More usable screen real estate for text
- Better for reading messages and notifications
- Maps and apps display more content
Circular (Galaxy Watch 7):
- Looks more like a traditional timepiece
- More elegant for formal occasions
- Classic watch aesthetic
Durability
The Apple Watch Series 11's ceramic coating on ION-X glass improves scratch resistance on aluminum models. The Galaxy Watch 7 uses sapphire crystal, which is harder and more scratch-resistant but can shatter from impacts.
Touch Sensitivity Issues
Both displays are smooth and responsive. However, Apple Watch users commonly report the touchscreen becoming difficult to use when wet from sweat during workouts. The Galaxy Watch 7 handles moisture slightly better.
Bottom line: Both displays are excellent. Choose based on shape preference: rectangular for more content, circular for classic aesthetics.
