Cons
- •Handle height may be a bit short for taller users, and lacks adjustable height options
- •Metal deck can scrape or rust if it contacts decorative edging, risking damage
- •Proprietary safety key easy to lose, which might frustrate some users
- •Struggles with longer, thicker grass, often stalling and requiring multiple resets
- •Some debris may drop after turning off, affecting mulch and bagging efficiency
- •Wheels and batteries might show wear over time, suggesting durability could be better for heavy use
- •The compact size and shorter stature could mean less comfort for very tall individuals
- •Cutting performance can decrease with very thick, tall, or muddy grass, slowing down mowing
- •No self-propulsion, so user effort can increase on hilly or tough terrain
Bottom Line
If you're looking for a lightweight, easy-to-use mower perfect for small yards and regular grass, the WORX WG779 offers highly convenient operation and decent power, especially with its long-lasting batteries. However, if your yard features tall, thick grass or decorative edging that could scratch the deck, you might want to consider something more durable or with higher clearance. Alternatively, if you want a more advanced or adjustable-height mower, exploring other brands could be worthwhile. Overall, this mower is a solid choice for casual, small yard maintenance with minimal fuss.
