WEN 3600-Watt Inverter Generator
Pros
- •Starts easily and reliably, even in cold temperatures below 40 degrees
- •Operates quieter than a typical Onan generator, making conversations easier nearby
- •Capable of running large appliances, including a 10,800 BTU air conditioner, safely
- •Dual fuel flexibility: runs on gas or propane, safe for modern electronics
- •Compact, lightweight, and portable, ideal for camping and RV use
- •Runs about 6 hours on a 20-pound propane tank during mixed mode, with efficient fuel consumption
- •Responsive customer support, including a free replacement for a defective propane hose regulator
- •Features a floating neutral and built-in info display with USB ports, adding convenience
- •Handles demanding tasks and multiple household appliances effectively
- •Produces minimal smoke and oil loss, with a solid build quality
Cons
- •The 30 amp RV plug placement is awkward and may require modification for secure connection
- •Propane hose includes an additional regulator, making direct hookup to camper's propane supply more complicated without extra tanks
- •Runtime on propane is less than the claimed 14 hours, closer to 4-6 hours under load
- •Propane quick connect is slightly non-standard and might require modifications or adjustments
- •While quieter than larger generators, it still produces some noise—it's not ultra-quiet
- •Slight brief struggles when starting large loads like the AC but recovers quickly
- •Propane tank gauge with float valve is recommended for accuracy; otherwise, fuel monitoring is harder
- •Some users may find the setup a little DIY if modifications are needed for specific hookups
Bottom Line
The WEN 56360i is a strong, reliable, and portable inverter generator perfect for RVers and campers who need efficient power on the go. Its dual fuel capability and quiet operation are big pluses, although some users might find the propane hookup slightly inconvenient. If you want a generator with solid performance, good build quality, and user-friendly features, this is a dependable choice. For those seeking ultra-quiet operation or simpler propane connections, you might want to consider models with more integrated hookup options.
