- •Effectively seals off vents to extinguish coals quickly.
- •Durable with a lifespan of about 3-4 years.
Cons
- •Installation may require tools and effort, including the removal of old components.
- •Not made of stainless steel, which can lead to durability issues, particularly in humid environments.
- •Original components may show signs of rust over time.
- •Engineering could be improved as some find it unimpressive.
- •Made of aluminum, which does not handle high heat well and can warp quickly.
- •May require modifications to fit older pre-2001 Weber grills.
Bottom Line
The Weber 7444 One-Touch Cleaning System Kit is a reliable replacement part for improving and restoring the functionality of Weber 22-1/2-inch grills. Despite some installation challenges and the aluminum material not being ideal for high-heat settings, it effectively extends the grill's lifespan at a reasonable cost. However, a stainless steel option might be a smart move for longer durability. If you're dealing with an older grill model, be prepared for potential modifications.
