VIZIO 75-inch Quantum Pro 4K QLED TV (2023)
The VIZIO 75-inch Quantum Pro 4K QLED (VQP75C-84, 2023) impresses with its beautiful colors, exceptional picture quality, and smooth gaming experience. However, concerns about durability and the inconsistency of customer service are noteworthy. - •Vivid, beautiful colors and vibrant display that really pop, thanks to the QLED IPS panel with wide viewing angles.
- •Exceptional picture quality with sharp and clear images, great for movies, sports, and gaming.
- •Native 120Hz refresh rate (upgradable to 240Hz at 1080p) offers smooth motion and excellent performance for PC gaming.
- •Easy and straightforward setup process, typically under 30 minutes with quick device connections.
- •Works well with a variety of devices including older DVD players, Apple TV, and Steam Deck.
- •Good handling of reflections due to an anti-reflective film, offering a premium viewing experience from any seat.
- •Smart TV features and remote usability are decent, supporting popular streaming apps out of the box.
- •Built-in speakers are adequate but pairing with an external soundbar improves the audio experience substantially.
Cons
- •Some users reported the development of flashing lines and an internal spider web crack after about 3 months, raising durability concerns.
- •Vizio’s customer service and warranty support have been criticized for being inconsistent and disappointing compared to third-party support (like Amazon).
- •HDR performance is underwhelming because the local dimming software calibration is poor, resulting in unnatural HDR visuals and limited contrast benefits.
- •Black levels can be tricky to calibrate, with RGB and YCbCr modes presenting issues such as black crush or limited detail in dark scenes.
- •Motion blur is present, though acceptable to some, but might bother more sensitive users.
- •The TV guide for antenna signals loads slowly, which may add to minor user frustration.
- •eARC does not pass multichannel LPCM audio to soundbars, limiting advanced audio setups.
- •Using an HDMI soundbar disables the 120Hz refresh rate, a dealbreaker for PC gamers wanting high refresh rates alongside external audio.
- •OEM picture settings tend to be overly bright, and reducing brightness for comfort can diminish the strong color vibrancy.
Bottom Line
The VIZIO 75-inch Quantum Pro 4K QLED is a dazzling TV that dazzles with vibrant colors, strong sharpness, and smooth gaming performance, especially at ultra-high refresh rates. However, its promising hardware is somewhat spoiled by software issues in HDR local dimming and potential durability concerns, plus inconsistent customer service experiences. For those who want stellar large-screen visuals but can tolerate minor quirks and possibly add an external soundbar, it’s worth considering. If you are wary about size-related durability or want fewer HDR and black level headaches, the smaller **VIZIO 65-inch Quantum Pro 4K QLED** might be a safer bet without sacrificing much on picture quality.
