- •Emits high-frequency sound that many reviewers say disturbs rodents and discourages their nests
- •Comes with a built-in nightlight, providing soft illumination and indicating the unit is working
- •Easy to install—just plug into a standard 110V wall outlet in medium-sized rooms
- •Long-lasting, with some users reporting effective rodent deterrence for up to 3-5 years
- •Can help reduce mouse activity and sightings when used consistently over time
- •Works best when used alongside other rodent control methods like traps and removing food sources
- •Effective in securing indoor spaces, especially by targeting entry points and key areas
- •No poison or chemicals involved, making it a safer option when pets are not sensitive to ultrasonic sounds
- •3-pack size allows for strategic placement across multiple rooms
- •Some users noticed a significant decrease in droppings and activity after consistent use
Cons
- •Several reviews mention it does not effectively repel mice or pests; some mice ignore the device completely
- •Effectiveness depends heavily on patience and consistent use—instant results are rare
- •No significant difference or noticeable pest reduction for many users, leading to dissatisfaction
- •Ultrasonic sound does not travel through walls, furniture, or curtains, limiting coverage
- •Not recommended for use around rodent pets like hamsters or gerbils due to sensitivity
- •Some users report that the device seems to attract rodents rather than repel them
- •Effectiveness can vary depending on the severity of infestation; in heavy infestations, it may not be sufficient alone
- •Does not provide a quick fix; success is typically seen after several days or weeks
- •Users note that rodents may simply find another route if food or hiding spots are accessible
- •The product's claims may be overhyped relative to actual performance in some cases
Bottom Line
This PestChaser device offers a non-chemical, ultrasonic approach to rodent deterrence that many find useful when combined with trapping and habitat modification. However, its effectiveness can be hit-or-miss—some rodents ignore it altogether, while others respond positively over several weeks. If you're dealing with a serious infestation, relying solely on these units might not be enough; consider integrating additional methods or opting for more proven solutions. For better pest control, exploring traps or other repellents might be advisable.
