- •Routine full pan drop and filter change aren't included, which might be necessary for comprehensive maintenance.
Bottom Line
This Valvoline CVT transmission fluid is a reliable choice for many high-mileage CVTs, especially if you're seeking to correct slipping, noise, or rough shifting. However, it’s crucial to match it with your vehicle's OEM specifications—particularly in Honda or Nissan models—since using the wrong viscosity or additives can cause overheating or increased pressure issues. For added peace of mind and optimal performance, many recommend sticking with OEM fluids like Subaru CVT or Honda HCF2 if you're unsure. If your CVT is specific or under warranty, consulting the manufacturer’s recommendations or considering a professional flush and full pan drop might be a smarter move.
