- •Reflective elements improve visibility in low light and inside zippers make locating items easier.
- •Padded laptop sleeve fits a 13-inch MacBook Pro securely, protecting your device.
- •Durable construction with strong, smooth zippers that travel well and handle essentials like chargers, tablets, clothes, and snacks.
- •Clean, sleek, all-black design that is business-appropriate and stylish.
- •Handy pen loops, a convenient hand loop with optional cushion, and compliance with airline size limits.
- •Effective theft deterrence suitable for international and overseas travel.
Cons
- •Shoulder straps are excessively long and heavy-duty for this small backpack, making adjustment and management cumbersome.
- •Chest strap is awkwardly placed near the neck and is too short to be functional.
- •Water bottle holder is small and only positioned on one side, suitable only for small disposable bottles.
- •Some zippers (outer and middle compartments) are tricky to open or zip only one way, and don't support luggage padlocks.
- •Compartments don’t unzip fully to the bottom, limiting accessibility to some items.
- •The external vertical secured slot is secure but inconveniently difficult to access.
- •Fit is tight for laptops with protruding batteries, such as a 14" Lenovo T440P.
- •Some users reported seam quality that deteriorates faster than expected, leading to concerns about long-term durability.
- •The strap locking hardware is confusing, and there are no attachment points for additional gear.
- •Not the most comfortable bag for extended use, according to some feedback.
Bottom Line
The Travelon Urban-Anti-Theft Backpack is a sleek, highly secure, and well-organized travel companion that excels at keeping your belongings safe and fits perfectly as a personal carry-on. However, if you need a bit more space for larger laptops or desire adjustable, more comfortable straps, you might find this bag a little less convenient. For those looking for a lightweight, theft-resistant backpack with solid organization, this is a strong choice—just be prepared for some quirks in the fit and strap setup. If you want a backpack with better strap comfort or more flexible features, you may want to explore other anti-theft models tailored for longer trips or heavier loads.
