Tomlyn High Calorie Gel for Puppies
Pros
- •Great for dogs of any age, including puppies, elderly, and even hospice pets needing extra nutrients
- •Effective appetite stimulant, especially helpful for picky eaters and dogs with low energy or reduced appetite
- •Quickly restores energy and helps stabilize blood sugar levels, preventing hypoglycemia
- •Gel-like, sticky consistency is easy to administer by finger or rubbing on gums, tongue, or cheeks, making it ideal for sick or weak pets
- •Palatable taste that most dogs (and even some cats) enjoy, encouraging consistent eating habits
- •Convenient for travel and emergency energy support
- •Can contribute to improved vitality and prolonged life in elderly pets
- •Versatile enough to use for feral cats or other challenging pets as an appetite booster and nutritional supplement
Cons
- •The tube is only about two-thirds full despite the relatively high price point, which may feel a bit pricey for frequent use
- •Thick, sticky texture can be messy and requires cautious, small doses to avoid spillage
- •For medium to large dogs (e.g., 23kg), significant daily amounts are needed, meaning the tube will run out quickly (approximately one week’s supply)
- •This product is a supplement, not a meal replacement, so it won’t satisfy full nutritional needs alone
Bottom Line
Tomlyn High Calorie Nutritional Gel (Nutri-Cal) is a trusted, easy-to-use supplement that’s perfect for giving your puppy or aging dog a quick energy and nutrient boost, especially during illness or picky eating phases. While the cost and amount per tube might be a consideration for larger dogs needing daily doses, its palatability and effectiveness often make it worth the investment. If you need a fast-acting, easy-to-administer solution for appetite stimulation, this gel has earned high marks for reliability and taste. Just remember it’s a supplement, not a complete food replacement. If you want to explore other options later, keep an eye out for similar high-calorie gels that may offer larger sizes or different formulations, but this one remains a solid go-to in urgent or ongoing nutritional support scenarios.
