Pros
- •Delivers exceptional cleaning power, removing tough stains from sports, pets, and everyday wear
- •Excels at removing bad odors, including mildew and persistent smells that other brands fail to eliminate
- •Suitable for all fabric types—including athletic gear, dress shirts, bedding, whites, colors, and delicates—without damage
- •Gentle on skin, making it a solid choice for families with kids and pets or those with sensitive skin
- •Offers a subtle, fresh original scent that isn’t overpowering or intrusive
- •Liquid formula dissolves better than powders or pods, reducing buildup in washers
- •Comes with a dribble-proof spout design that makes pouring easier and less messy
- •Economical usage: just a small amount delivers great cleaning results
- •Frequently favored over pods for superior stain removal and freshness
- •Large container size provides convenience and good value per load
Cons
- •The dispenser cup can leak if detergent remains inside when closed, requiring careful handling or rinsing
- •Not recommended for heavily soiled laundry, especially with fecal matter, as it struggles to fully clean washing machine drains afterward
- •Cleaning the washing machine drain post-heavy wash demands extra effort with antibacterial products
- •Some users wish the packaging offered more fun or seasonal color variations
- •While it’s very good, it slightly trails behind Persil in heavy stain-fighting performance
Bottom Line
If you want a powerhouse liquid detergent that tackles tough stains, persistent odors, and a wide variety of fabrics with a mild fragrance, *Tide Hygienic Clean Heavy 10X* checks almost every box. It's especially great for households managing sports stains, pet messes, and daily grime without harsh chemicals. Just be aware that if you’re dealing with extremely heavy-duty soils—say, mechanic grease or heavy pet stains—this might not fully clean the washing machine after and you may want to supplement with additional machine cleaning. For those looking for the absolute top stain remover and odor fighter, Persil could be a worthy alternative, but this Tide offers a robust, trustworthy clean with a gentle touch.
