- •Simplifies the process of cleaning floors and has a pleasant scent.
- •Praised for being sturdy and durable with high satisfaction ratings.
Cons
- •Experienced motor failure shortly after purchase, not resolved with battery replacements.
- •New model's performance does not match the previous version due to decreased power from using only 2 batteries instead of 4.
- •Issues with the sprayer not dispensing cleaning solution properly, possibly due to clogging.
- •Design flaws, including a problematic handle and difficulty maneuvering under furniture, limit its effectiveness.
- •Pushes dirt, lint, and hair around rather than trapping them; often requires additional cleaning.
Bottom Line
While the Swiffer Dust Mop, Purple, is praised for its sturdy design and effective cleaning on multiple floor types, it suffers from significant design and functional issues. The sprayer is prone to malfunction, and the mop's maneuverability is limited by its design. If reliability and reach under furniture are critical, you might want to consider other brands or models that address these shortcomings.
