- •Provides ample space for multiple cats, comfortably fitting two 18-pound cats along with a small litter box, blanket, food, and water dishes.
- •Designed to reduce pet anxiety during travel with good visibility and ventilation, keeping pets comfortable and calm.
- •Sturdy doors and secure closing mechanisms prevent accidental openings, ensuring pet safety on long trips.
- •Folds compactly and quickly for easy storage and portability, making it great for frequent travelers.
- •Durable waterproof fabric construction is reliable and can support additional weight on top without compromising the kennel's integrity.
- •Fits well on a car backseat and includes secure attachment options like headrest straps and seat belt loops to keep it snug during travel.
- •Lightweight design paired with ease of use makes it a highly recommended travel accessory for pet owners.
- •Customer service from SPORT PET is noted as responsive and friendly.
Cons
- •Collapsible design results in a less sturdy bottom, which may require adding extra support like a piece of cardboard for better stability.
- •Does not include a built-in car seat belt harness; securing it relies on straps and loops, which some users may find less convenient.
- •Durable fabric is prone to damage if pets have sharp nails, so nail trimming is recommended to prolong the kennel’s lifespan.
Bottom Line
If you need a spacious, portable, and well-ventilated kennel that comfortably fits multiple cats and travel essentials, the SPORT PET Large Pop Open Kennel delivers excellent value and reliability. While the flexible bottom and lack of built-in car harness require minor adjustments for maximum stability, this kennel makes long trips easier and safer for both pets and owners. For those wanting a similarly sized, sturdy carrier with built-in car harness options, exploring other models might be worth considering, but this one stands out for its roomy design and ease of storage.
