Cons
- •The line quality is decent but not very durable in the long term
- •Prone to breaking easily due to thin or fragile material
- •Slippery when tying knots, which can make securing lines more challenging
- •Requires alternative knotting techniques, such as a double granny knot, due to slipping issues
- •Smaller diameter compared to traditional mono, limiting total line length for some setups
- •Not very practical for standard fishing setups that require longer line lengths, such as 100 feet of mono
Bottom Line
Overall, SpiderWire EZ Braid offers impressive strength and casting improvements, making it a solid choice for spinning reel anglers. However, its tendency to slip when tying knots and limited line length may be drawbacks for some users. If you value high durability and are comfortable using specialized knots, this line could be a good fit. For those seeking a more straightforward, longer-lasting line, you might want to consider more durable braided options like PowerPro or Sunline, which are known for superior knot retention and longevity.
