- •Mattress requires occasional topping up of air every few days to maintain desired firmness, especially in the first week as the material stretches
- •The top coil pattern can feel uncomfortable without an additional mattress pad or topper
- •Initial vinyl smell is strong and may take several days to dissipate
- •Mattress sits lower to the ground by 2-3 inches compared to a regular bed which may affect sleep preference
- •Fitted sheets tend to slip off; users recommend clips or elastic bands to secure them
- •A few reviewers reported poor durability issues such as stitching coming undone or large holes developing within a couple of months under normal use (rare but notable)
Bottom Line
The SoundAsleep Dream Series Luxury Air Mattress delivers exceptional comfort and durability not often seen in air mattresses, making it a great choice for anyone who values quick setup and a better night's sleep. That said, prepare to do some occasional air topping and consider using a mattress topper for the best feel on the coil fabric. Most users praise the responsive customer service which can be a real lifesaver if any leaks or defects appear. If long-term durability is your absolute priority and you want something even more robust, you might want to explore foam or hybrid mattress alternatives, but for a luxury air mattress, this one is hard to beat.
