Pros
- •The vacuum effectively handles both wet and dry spills, especially those related to pets and kids.
- •Features a specialized stain removing spray and a dedicated tool for focused suction and scrubbing.
- •Includes multiple attachments: crevice tool, stain eliminator tool, squeegee tool, and upholstery tool for versatile cleaning.
- •Long power cord and hose enhance maneuverability, making it easy to reach different areas.
- •All attachments can be conveniently stored on the vacuum itself, keeping things organized.
- •Unique any bag system allows use with various sized trash bags, making cleanup simpler.
- •Operates quietly compared to traditional shop vacs, making it suitable for home use.
- •Offers strong suction power, ideal for small spills and automotive cleaning tasks.
- •Well-constructed with easy access to a large filter for maintenance.
Cons
- •The vacuum does not function as a water-based stain remover; it's more of a general-use wet/dry vacuum.
- •The hose can be difficult to store, with some users finding the storage method awkward.
- •Stain cleaning capability may be lacking; it operates better on fresh stains rather than older ones.
- •Requires monthly filter cleaning and annual replacement, which can be challenging especially with pet hair.
- •The proprietary 'Stain Eliminator' nozzle can leak and raises concerns about future refill availability.
- •Some users find the hose attachment system tricky and stress-inducing during setup.
- •While powerful, the vacuum's noise level can still be quite loud compared to other options.
Bottom Line
The Shark EveryMess VX101 is a solid choice for those in need of an efficient wet/dry vacuum that performs well in managing pet and kid messes. However, keep in mind that it’s not the best option for deep stain cleaning. If you require superior stain-removal performance, consider pairing it with a dedicated stain cleaner or evaluating specialized stain cleaning units. Grab this if you want a versatile vacuum for general use – just don't expect it to fully replace a dedicated stain cleaner.
