- •Mini LED technology significantly enhances brightness and glare reduction, making it well-suited for bright rooms.
- •Vision AI upscales older content impressively, bringing it close to true 4K quality.
- •Object Tracking Sound+ combined with Dolby Atmos provides immersive and rich audio, especially when properly configured.
- •Four HDMI 2.1 ports offer versatile connectivity, perfect for gamers who want multiple consoles or PCs hooked up simultaneously.
- •Glare-free screen treatment improves viewing comfort by reducing annoying reflections.
- •The Gaming Hub and built-in Alexa support add convenience and smart features.
- •Setup is straightforward with quick streaming app sign-ins via QR codes.
- •Local TV channels work well, adding to the overall content options.
- •The TV avoids OLED burn-in issues thanks to its LED panel, making it better for static images or prolonged use.
Cons
- •The TV is very heavy and bulky, requiring two or more people for safe installation; professional mounting is highly recommended.
- •The menu system can be intrusive by automatically playing the last-used app in the background without user consent, which some find annoying.
- •The Samsung TV app cannot be selectively disabled, so it’s either always active or completely removed.
- •Limited HDD video playback capability, refusing some older formats that were previously supported on other models.
- •Software customization options are limited, which can be frustrating for users who want greater control over their experience.
- •The remote control is simple but small and may take some time to get used to.
- •Despite good built-in speakers, an external sound system is often preferred for the best audio experience.
- •No one connect box is included, potentially complicating cable management compared to some previous Samsung models.
Bottom Line
The SAMSUNG 98-Inch Class Neo QLED QN90F is a powerhouse for anyone craving a stunning, bright 4K picture with excellent HDR and gaming features, paired with immersive sound and smart AI enhancements. Just be prepared for its massive size and weight which demand serious consideration for installation and mounting. If you want top-tier brightness without OLED burn-in worries and superior sound without extra gear, this model delivers beautifully. However, if you crave deeper software customization or a lighter, easier setup, you might want to look at other options. Overall, it’s a fantastic choice for a premium home theater or gaming centerpiece.
