Bottom Line
The Samsung 870 EVO 2TB SSD is a dependable and fast storage solution, especially for gaming, media, and everyday use, thanks to its solid performance and long-term endurance. However, this drive might not be ideal if you need top-tier write speeds or robust thermal management—particularly for high-performance or heavy-duty workloads. Be aware of potential warranty frustrations and the risk of unexpected failure, and consider cloud backups or alternative models if reliability is your top priority. If you're seeking a higher-speed, more reliable drive, you might want to check out the Kingston DC600M for better performance and thermal design.
