Cons
- •Some users report frequent power cycle issues preventing the TV from turning on, a recurring reliability concern with newer Samsung models.
- •There are occasional black screen problems when using devices like the PS5, requiring extra steps to fix, and automatic game mode switching doesn’t always work reliably.
- •User interface is less intuitive than past models, with confusing app management and separate screens for movies and games complicating navigation.
- •The remote’s small size and solid black color make it easy to misplace despite its handy rechargeable feature.
- •Some difficulties experienced loading multiple streaming apps simultaneously, though Samsung customer support has been praised for resolving these issues.
- •Sound, while clear, lacks bass depth, so a dedicated soundbar may be necessary for audiophiles.
Bottom Line
The SAMSUNG 65-Inch Q80C QLED is a fantastic choice if you want stunning 4K picture quality with vibrant colors and solid smart TV features, especially great for bright-room viewing and casual gaming. Just be prepared for some possible reliability quirks and a learning curve with the user interface. If you want improved sound bass or seamless gaming mode activation, a soundbar or additional peripherals might be needed. For those worried about reported power issues or UX frustrations, considering other high-end QLED models or OLED alternatives could be worthwhile depending on your priorities.
