- •No long-lasting string capacity, leading to interruptions
- •May require frequent maintenance or reloading, which can slow work
- •Some may find it underpowered for thick or dense grass and weeds
- •The low price suggests it’s more of a light-duty tool and may not withstand heavy use over time
Bottom Line
This RYOBI 18V string trimmer is a solid choice for light yard work, especially if you value portability and simplicity. However, its frequent string breaks and build quality concerns mean it might not be ideal for heavy-duty or frequent use. For more durability and power, consider models with larger batteries or heavier-duty motors. For occasional trimming, it offers a decent balance of ease and functionality.
