Cons
- •No charging cable included, which is disappointing for a $70 controller.
- •The controller can break easily with minimal force, showing a lack of durability.
- •Developed significant stick drift shortly after purchase, affecting playability and raising concerns about durability and reliability.
- •Triggers require time to break in before operating properly, which can detract from the initial experience.
- •Compared unfavorably to older models, such as the 8-year-old PS4 Dualshock, which had no previous issues.
- •Price is seen as excessively high for the value provided, given the durability concerns.
Bottom Line
The PlayStation DualSense® Wireless Controller - Midnight Black offers a robust gaming experience with its advanced haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and customizable features. However, its durability concerns, lack of an included charging cable, and high price tag may give potential buyers pause. If durability is a key factor for you, consider the longevity of older models like the PS4 Dualshock controller or explore warranty options before purchasing.
