Philips Universal Remote Control
While this remote promises to make your TV and Roku experience seamless, it's more like a diva that doesn't live up to its star billing. You might end up part of a juggling act with multiple remotes. Make sure you're not looking for deep channel integration or an 'Info' button, or you might want to consider other options that don't play hard to get.

Calculated by ShopSavvy from the professional reviews and customer ratings we collected for this product.
Why this score?
The Philips Universal Remote earns a low score largely due to significant customer dissatisfaction regarding its compatibility and functionality, particularly with popular devices like Roku and Samsung TVs, often failing to perform as advertised. While some users praise its ease of setup and affordability, many highlight design flaws, such as small buttons and a confusing layout, diminishing its overall value as a universal remote.

Cons
- •Promises to connect to Roku as well as peanut butter goes with jelly, but sadly doesn't live up to the hype.
- •Requires juggling two remotes, unable to control the sound bar with the Roku remote.
- •Button assignments are on a wild adventure of their own, not quite matching the original remote's layout.
- •Throws a tantrum and refuses direct access to channels by number on TCL Roku TV for those live TV moments.
- •Not quite user-friendly, with a complicated button layout that could confuse even the savviest tech wizards.
- •Buttons are so tiny and stubborn that you'll wish you had magnifying glasses and a magic wand to use them effectively.
- •Lacks the magical 'Info' button for program details, leaving you in the dark about what you're watching.
