- •Offers versatile brushing with 4 modes (Clean, White+, Gum Health, Deep Clean+) and 3 intensity levels for personalized care.
- •Smart Sensor technology with a light ring pressure sensor helps prevent brushing too hard, improving technique.
- •Connects to the Philips Sonicare app for personalized brushing guidance, timing, and monitoring problem areas in the mouth.
- •Comfortable and ergonomic design that feels gentle yet powerful, delivering 62,000 bristle movements per minute.
- •Comes with a stylish travel case and the unique charging glass, making it convenient for travel and home use.
- •Battery life lasts up to two weeks on a single charge, supporting regular use without frequent recharging.
- •Highly satisfying and effective whitening performance compared to standard and other electric toothbrushes.
- •Quality construction and attractive aesthetic that fits well in modern bathrooms.
Cons
- •Some users report a recurring, significant design flaw in this 9300 Series model where the toothbrush stops vibrating properly after a few months of use.
- •Replacement units often suffer the same malfunction, leading to reliability concerns.
- •Durability can be questionable with some users experiencing device failure every 2-3 years, making it less cost-effective over time.
- •The included travel case does not charge the toothbrush, which some users find inconvenient compared to competitive models with charging cases.
- •Powerful brushing action may feel too intense initially and require an adjustment period.
- •Accessories like brush heads tend to last longer than the handle, which can be frustrating given the handle's potential longevity issues.
Bottom Line
The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9300 is a feature-packed, advanced electric toothbrush offering excellent cleaning power, personalized coaching, and stylish convenience that dental professionals endorse. However, potential buyers should be cautious due to reported issues with the toothbrush's reliability over time, specifically vibration failures occurring after a few months. If long-term durability is a top priority, it may be worth exploring earlier Philips Sonicare models known for longer lifespan or keeping an eye out for updated versions with improved reliability. For now, if you want cutting-edge smart features and a truly superior clean — and are willing to risk some durability concerns — this model delivers impressive results.
