- •USB charging connection makes powering up easy and modern.
- •Quiet and sturdy shave with less noise and vibration compared to foil shavers.

- •Easy to clean under running water and dries quickly, making maintenance simple.
- •Blade locking mechanism is reliable, preventing accidental opening during cleaning.
- •Power adapter cable is long and well-sheathed, providing good durability.
Cons
- •Shaving sessions tend to take longer (around 10 minutes), which might be inconvenient for some.
- •The shave is not as close or fast as with a straight razor or foil-head shavers.
- •Bulky design and awkward head shape make it difficult to reach certain areas easily.
- •Flip-up trimmer performs poorly on finer hairs, limiting precision.
- •Cleaning is tricky due to deep, irregular compartments for hair collection, and no cleaning brush is included.
- •Plastic parts, including the spring mechanism, feel cheap and less smooth than previous models.
- •Front-positioned cleanup button can be accidentally pressed when removing the cap.
- •Battery lacks a clear charge indicator, only giving a blinking light near depletion.
- •Uses a non-standard 15V adapter output instead of the typical 12V, which may affect compatibility.
- •Cutting performance can feel unimpressive, sometimes worse than older models.
Bottom Line
The Philips Norelco Shaver 2600 (X3052/91) is a solid, dependable electric shaver for everyday use if you don't mind a slightly slower shave and occasional patience with the trimming and cleaning process. Its quieter operation, USB charging, and mains power fallback are definite pluses, but the bulkier head and average trimming precision might be frustrating for those seeking quick, ultra-close results. If you want a more high-performance or faster trimming experience, you might want to explore other options, but overall, it holds its own as a reliable, well-built option for a modest price.
