- •High-quality craftsmanship and materials make this set sturdy, durable, and able to withstand years of everyday use without chipping or damage.
- •The stylish square design of the plates adds a modern touch, while the mug and bowl retain a comfortable round shape.
- •The set includes all essentials for a complete place setting: mug, small cereal bowl, bread/salad plate, and large dinner plate.
- •Plates are generously sized but remain stable and dishwasher safe due to their flat edges.
- •The interior color palette subtly enhances food presentation with a white surface contrasted by colorful rims.
- •The set feels substantial and heavier than average, contributing to a perception of quality and solidity.
- •Trusted brand reputation, with the dishware lasting over a decade in many homes while handling frequent daily use.
- •Original 4-piece settings have maintained their appearance and quality for multiple years, backed by responsive customer service if issues arise.
- •The set is perfect for anyone wanting durable, attractive, and versatile dishes for everyday use or casual entertaining.
Cons
- •While the plates follow a sleek square design, the bowl and mug remain round, which some may find slightly inconsistent stylistically.
- •The bowl is moderately sized but can be a bit small for larger servings of pasta or soup.
- •The interior color in some versions is yellow rather than white, which may give a slightly dated look compared to the newer crisply white interiors.
- •The set is heavier than average, so it may be less ideal for those who prefer ultra-light dishware.
Bottom Line
The Noritake 4-Piece Colorwave Square Place Setting in Chocolate is a durable, stylish choice that elevates everyday dining with its modern square plates and high-quality craftsmanship. Its lasting reputation for holding up to frequent use makes it a great investment for a long-lasting, attractive tableware set. If you want a set that blends contemporary design with a trusted brand durability without sacrificing function, this one delivers beautifully. Just be mindful that the bowl’s size and interior color might not suit everyone’s taste or needs. For those seeking a larger bowl or a completely square design across all pieces, exploring other Noritake Colorwave variations or different collections could be worth considering.
