Cons
- •The console has a high price point, and modern collectors often feel that it's overpriced relative to its value.
- •Users experience eye strain and discomfort after short play periods, making it less user-friendly, especially for children under 8.
- •Requires a stand for use, and the lack of portability along with potential craftsmanship issues (e.g., stand breaking) detract from usability.

- •Lack of color and possible health issues such as headaches significantly detract from the gaming experience.
Bottom Line
The Nintendo Virtual Boy was a bold attempt at pushing the boundaries of gaming into the third dimension, yet it fell short due to practical limitations, particularly eye strain, and discomfort. It remains a noteworthy collectible for die-hard Nintendo fans and gaming enthusiasts interested in the evolution of gaming technology. If you are considering it, ensure you have all the necessary components such as the stand, visor, and an AC adapter for a better experience. For a more comfortable and engaging 3D handheld experience, you might want to explore the Nintendo 3DS series.
