Cons
- •The initial batch experienced zoom creep issues, which can be frustrating and impact focus stability.
- •As a renewed product, some users note minor cosmetic wear and minor issues, though generally in good shape.
- •Some reviews mention missing accessories like lens hoods or bags in initial orders, leading to inconvenience.
- •Slightly lower light gathering capability at the telephoto end due to f/5.6 max aperture.
- •Not a professional lens, so might lack the speed and precision some advanced photographers seek.
- •The price, while fair, is still around the full retail for a new lens, so waiting for a deal might be smart.
Bottom Line
This Nikon 28-300mm lens offers an impressive zoom range and solid optical quality—making it a good all-in-one choice for amateur or hobbyist photographers who want versatility without swapping lenses.
