Cons
- •Missing vibration and rumble functionality on PS5, which is a significant feature gap for next-gen gaming
- •Third-party controller restrictions prevent compatibility with PS5 games when using PS4 mode
- •No official app available despite Bluetooth connectivity—Nacon promised one in 2024 but never delivered, raising red flags about future support
- •Magnetic joysticks require in-app calibration and have a notable learning curve compared to standard controllers
- •The new toggle switch design takes time to adjust to if you're coming from conventional controllers
- •Recessed USB-C port requires proprietary cables, forcing additional purchases and creating unnecessary tech waste
- •Some customization features are locked behind PC-only access
- •Mixed durability reports from previous Nacon products failing within a year, though this model has shown better longevity
Bottom Line
The Nacon Revolution 5 Pro is a premium controller with excellent build quality, zero input lag, and Hall effect sticks that won't drift like official Sony controllers—making it a solid choice if you're looking for competitive performance and durability. However, the missing PS5 vibration support and lack of promised software updates are legitimate concerns that might matter depending on your gaming habits. If rumble features are essential to your PS5 experience or you want guaranteed long-term support, you may want to stick with the official DualSense, but if you value stick drift prevention and extensive customization over next-gen haptics, this controller is worth the investment.
