Cons
- •No true unlimited data plan; data may be deprioritized during high congestion, leading to slower speeds
- •Customer support response times can be long, with delays over 24 hours and occasionally unclear communication
- •Support processes, especially for porting, can be confusing and sometimes involve unnecessary delays
- •The initial setup, while straightforward, has occasional technical terms that might confuse less tech-savvy users
- •Some reviews mention issues with porting the number, with a lack of clear explanation or support during the process
- •Price increase after promotional period; the plan is very affordable initially but becomes more expensive later
- •Limited hotspot data (if any), making it less ideal for extensive tethering needs
- •User experiences vary; some mention spam calls from previous owners’ numbers if they are from a pooled number
- •Plans are mainly suited for light to moderate usage, not heavy streaming or intensive data tasks
- •Support for international roaming is good but mainly limited to Canada and Germany; additional costs may apply for other regions
Bottom Line
This affordable 3-month plan from Mint Mobile offers great value, especially with its support for 5G, easy activation, and reliable T-Mobile coverage. However, if you need unlimited high-speed data without deprioritization or extensive hotspot use, consider other plans. For most light to moderate users, this plan is a solid choice, especially during sales. If global roaming or instant number porting are priorities, make sure to read the fine print or consider other providers.
