- •Delivers strong, reliable power capable of removing lug nuts and motor mount bolts with ease, comparable to a full-size M18 3/8" impact wrench in a much smaller M12 form.
- •Compact, cordless, and lightweight design fits well into tight spaces and confined areas, reducing user fatigue and enhancing portability.
- •Excellent fine control thanks to variable trigger pressure and three simple, intuitive adjustable torque settings, perfect for precise mechanical tasks.
- •Battery life is impressive, often maintaining a full charge through tough jobs, and the tool uses the common M12 battery system shared across Milwaukee’s lineup.
- •Extremely durable and reliable, withstanding varied environments from hot and cold to wet and dry, and rough handling typical of heavy service work.
- •Great for speeding up mechanical jobs and making tasks like tire changes and suspension repairs more efficient.
- •Well-built and a solid investment for anyone needing a compact yet powerful impact wrench.
Cons
- •Direction button placement is awkward and can be accidentally pressed during use, which may require conscious grip adjustments.
- •Would benefit from a 1/4" hex inside the anvil for small bits, a feature not currently supported.
- •Some users report circuit board failures after extended heavy use, and M12 battery system reliability has occasional issues.
Bottom Line
The Milwaukee M12 FUEL 2562-20 impact wrench packs the power and durability of larger, full-size tools into a compact, lightweight package that’s perfect for tight spaces and quick repairs. Its adjustable torque and strong battery life make it a standout for service professionals or DIYers who want M12 convenience without sacrificing muscle. However, if you’re worried about occasional directional button slips or long-term battery system reliability, keep an eye on those aspects. Overall, this tool is a great addition to any Milwaukee M12 collection and a prime choice for someone needing serious punch in a stubby form factor.
