Cons
- •The game requires Origin to run, which can cause problems such as the game displaying the title screen and launcher but failing to launch properly.
- •Some users experience persistent launch or gameplay bugs that may require complicated troubleshooting steps or driver updates.
- •Origin’s customer support is often reported as unresponsive, making it frustrating to resolve technical issues directly through EA’s platform.
- •In rare cases, players reported the game not launching at all, even on brand new computers, leading to a completely inaccessible purchase.
- •The game may stay running in the background even after attempting to close it, sometimes necessitating a reboot to shut down fully.
- •Redeem code issues are common enough that having EA support assistance is recommended, although EA support responsiveness is inconsistent.
- •Troubleshooting can be inconvenient and may involve technical command-line fixes that are not user-friendly.
Bottom Line
Mass Effect Legendary Edition - Origin PC delivers a visually stunning and comprehensive remaster of a beloved sci-fi RPG trilogy with updated gameplay mechanics and all DLC in one bundle. However, be prepared for potential launch and Origin integration issues that might require patience or workarounds, as well as variable customer support experiences. If you want to enjoy one of the greatest RPG trilogies with significant graphical enhancements and don’t mind some tech troubleshooting, this is a solid pick. For a potentially smoother activation experience, consider purchasing directly through EA or checking Amazon’s customer service if problems arise.
