- •Battery life easily lasts 14-16 hours of typical mixed usage, supporting all-day productivity and media consumption.
- •Lightweight and highly portable design, making it ideal for on-the-go use without feeling fragile or cheaply made.
- •Touch ID adds convenient security with quick and smooth access to the device.
- •Seamless integration with other Apple devices, including iPhone for screen mirroring, messaging, and calls, enhances overall user experience.
- •Excellent build quality with a solid, premium feel and comfortable backlit keyboard.
- •Supports connection to high-resolution external monitors (such as 4K at 144Hz) with the right adapters, suitable for desktop setups.
- •The laptop easily handles creative software like video editing and music production, although it’s not designed for gaming.
- •The stylish Sky Blue color option shifts subtly with lighting, adding a unique aesthetic appeal.
Cons
- •The base 256GB SSD storage may feel limited for users who work extensively with large files, and there are no upgrade options for RAM or storage after purchase, so initial configuration is critical.
- •The included 30W charger is on the slower side compared to some competitors, which might prolong charging times despite the excellent battery life.
- •MagSafe charging cable disconnects easily, which some users may find slightly inconvenient.
- •The screen is limited to 60Hz refresh rate, which is less smooth than 120Hz displays found on some competitors, though the MacOS interface still feels fluid.
- •Audio quality is good but bass response is somewhat lacking, potentially disappointing users seeking richer sound without external speakers.
- •Display black levels and outdoor visibility may not be as strong as some other high-end laptops, particularly in very bright or direct sunlight conditions.
Bottom Line
The MacBook Air (13-inch, M4, 2025) is a superb all-around ultraportable laptop that balances power, portability, and battery life like a pro. It excels for students, professionals, and creatives who want fast performance and a gorgeous screen without sacrificing portability. Just be sure you plan your storage needs carefully upfront since upgrades aren't possible later. If you want a faster charger or stronger audio, you might want to consider complementary accessories. Overall, this model is a significant and worthwhile upgrade from prior MacBooks and a smart buy for anyone embedded in the Apple ecosystem.
