Cons
- •The 1/4" ratchet is larger and heavier than older 3/8" models, which may affect maneuverability in extremely tight spots.
- •The lock button feels cheap and of low quality, and it does not fully prevent accidental activation of the LED light, potentially causing unwanted battery drain.
- •The brushless motor consumes more energy than some users expected for a tool of this size.
- •Some users find the size slightly bulky compared to more compact ratchets, which could be a consideration depending on your use case.
Bottom Line
The Milwaukee M12 FUEL 1/4" Ratchet (Tool Only) is a robust, powerful, and well-built tool designed for professionals who need high torque in a compact form factor. Its excellent battery life, durability, and precision control make it a standout in automotive and mechanical tasks, despite some minor drawbacks like size and a finicky lock button. If you want a ratchet that can handle daily abuse and deliver consistent performance, this is a top contender. If you are looking for something more compact or with a different motor setup, Milwaukee offers other ratchets that might better suit lighter or more delicate work.
