Pros
- •Picture quality is truly outstanding, delivering vivid colors, exceptional clarity, and a movie theater-like experience thanks to OLED evo technology and Dolby Vision support.
- •Sound quality impresses with integrated speakers and Dolby Atmos compatibility, plus easy setup with external soundbars like SONOS.
- •The ultra-thin, sleek design allows it to be wall-mounted elegantly like a piece of art, fitting perfectly in modern living rooms.
- •Setup is straightforward, and WiFi connectivity is quick and reliable.
- •Alexa voice control is built into the remote, enabling hands-free command for searching and controlling content.
- •The remote is solidly built, intuitive, and offers zero lag performance, noticeably faster than previous TV remotes.
- •Excellent for a wide range of uses including movies, sports, gaming (with 144Hz mode, AMD FreeSync Premium, and ALLM), and even as a PC monitor supporting full RGB 4:4:4 pass-through.
- •Highly rated by Consumer Reports as one of the best TVs of 2025, which says a lot about overall quality and satisfaction.
- •Roku integration works seamlessly, providing easy control of streaming apps with the same remote.
Cons
- •The remote’s cursor pointer feature is a source of frustration: it’s difficult to use, can jump unpredictably when trying to disable it, and lacks a permanent off option.
- •Some users find the remote’s button layout unconventional and may need time to adjust.
- •Absence of a dedicated mute button means muting requires lowering the volume manually.
- •The inclusion of AI features adds complexity without a clear user benefit, making menu navigation more cumbersome for some.
- •OLED displays, including this model, can show glare near windows despite blinds, which might affect viewing in very bright rooms.
- •No manual or quick start guide comes with the TV, so setup and fine-tuning require consulting external resources.
Bottom Line
The LG 77-Inch OLED evo AI 4K C5 Series is a visually stunning and sonically impressive television that excels across entertainment, gaming, and smart features, making it a standout choice for anyone seeking a premium large-screen experience in 2025. If you’re sensitive to remote quirks or glare issues in bright rooms, keep those in mind but don’t let them overshadow the overall excellence here. For those wanting a TV that combines sleek design, advanced gaming capability, and smart home integration, this model comes highly recommended.
