LG G3 83-Inch OLED TV
Before splashing out on this TV, consider if you're willing to gamble with build quality and the potential for missing parts or defects. Maybe give the 77" model a peek for its bangin' MLA technology and possibly less drama.

Pros
- •Picture quality is outstanding, featuring bright, vibrant colors and perfect deep blacks courtesy of OLED evo technology.
- •Supports premium formats such as 4K HDR, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos for an immersive audio-visual experience.
- •Excellent performance with gaming consoles like PS5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch, boasting minimal input lag and sharp upscaling.
- •Impressive upscaling capability that makes lower resolution content, like DVDs and Nintendo Switch’s 1080p, look near 4K quality.
- •Multi View feature allows simultaneous display of two HDMI devices on the same screen without needing another display.
- •Art Gallery mode transforms the TV into a stylish digital photo frame, enhancing any living space with curated images.
- •Magic Remote is intuitive, easy to use, and can control multiple devices seamlessly, including streaming gadgets.
- •Automatic input switching works reliably, streamlining the gaming and entertainment experience.
- •Sound quality is solid for a flat TV, loud enough on its own in smaller rooms and pairs well with external sound bars.
- •Setup is quick and user-friendly, with most users able to get everything running smoothly in under an hour.
Cons
- •The TV may occasionally shut off unexpectedly during Nintendo Switch gameplay, possibly due to overheating issues.
- •Photo uploading is limited; you can only add images via the LG ThinQ app or flash drive, not directly from your phone.
- •The webOS interface, while feature-rich, can feel cluttered and overwhelming, especially for users who prefer simpler navigation.
- •No stand is included in the package, only a wall-mount bracket, which might require an additional purchase if you want a freestanding setup.
Bottom Line
The LG G3 Series 83-Inch OLED evo TV delivers stunning picture quality and a top-tier gaming experience, especially if you’re after rich HDR and sound support in a large 4K OLED screen. While the occasional Nintendo Switch shutdown and the somewhat cluttered webOS may irritate some, these are minor drawbacks compared to the overall performance, especially with the Magic Remote and smart features. If you want a spectacular, cinema-like display that also excels in gaming and multi-device use, this is a very strong candidate. Just be prepared to handle photo uploads via limited methods and consider pairing with a soundbar if you want full audio immersion in larger rooms. If you’re looking for a similar OLED experience but want a slightly simpler interface or more straightforward photo sharing, keep an eye on alternative LG models or other OLEDs with simplified smart systems.
