- •The 86-inch screen size and 4K processor provide an exceptional and immersive viewing experience with impressive color, clarity, and vividness.
- •AI sound settings enhance audio quality significantly, especially in smaller spaces.
- •The TV retains good picture quality even at a 30 to 40-degree viewing angle.
- •Strong bandwidth performance with no buffering issues during streaming.
Cons
- •Essential advertised features like built-in Alexa and Google Assistant are misleading as the necessary Magic Remote must be purchased separately.
- •The included remote lacks voice functionality and is unresponsive, leading to user frustration.
- •The TV's smart features suffer from limitations in RAM and storage, causing slow WebOS performance and issues with memory management.
- •Motion blur and blooming are significant issues, particularly in fast-moving scenes and white objects against black backgrounds.
- •Difficulties with integrating accounts and updates, such as issues with the web browser failing to update, contribute to an overall frustrating user experience.
- •False advertising about the voice functionality and the inconvenience of having to buy additional equipment for it.
Bottom Line
The LG 86-Inch Class UT75 Series LED Smart TV offers a stunning display and sound quality, but its smart functionalities disappoint due to hardware limitations and misleading marketing regarding voice controls. If you're considering this TV primarily for its screen size and picture quality, it can be a great choice. However, if smart features and a fully integrated voice assistant are deal-breakers, you might want to explore alternatives or ensure you have access to the necessary Magic Remote to unlock these features.
