Pros
- •Outstanding picture quality with vibrant colors, sharpness, and excellent clarity, making 4K content really pop.
- •The large 65-inch flat screen provides an immersive viewing experience, great for living rooms or home theaters.
- •AI Sound and Wow Orchestra features deliver better audio than previous LG models, though some prefer adding a soundbar.
- •Smart TV interface is generally user-friendly and includes pre-installed streaming apps plus access to nearly 1000 free channels.
- •Remote control includes a responsive scrolling function, improving navigation over older LG remotes.
- •The 4K Super Upscaling and Filmmaker Mode provide enhanced detail and true-to-intent picture settings.
- •Good overall value for the price, especially considering the bright, crisp 2025 model display.
- •Setup is relatively easy, and the TV functions smoothly without freezing or lag during typical use.
- •Multiple users noted this is one of the best LG Smart TV experiences, encouraging loyalty to the brand.
Cons
- •Remote control cursor feels limited and difficult to manage; many wish for a trackpad-like remote for easier vertical and horizontal movement.
- •Security and internet connectivity setup can be frustrating, occasionally leading users to limit smart features or avoid connecting to Wi-Fi.
- •The TV is quite heavy (around 135 pounds), requiring several people for safe installation and raising stability concerns—recommend anchoring for safety, especially with kids.
- •Some users experienced picture issues, like visible lines or deterioration, after a few months, which can be disappointing for a premium model.
- •Smart TV features may sometimes behave unreliably, with occasional frustrations reported on the interface despite overall smooth performance.
- •Warranty repairs and professional servicing might be challenging or costly without local support.
- •While built-in sound is good, it's often suggested that a soundbar is needed for a significantly improved audio experience.
Bottom Line
The LG 65-Inch QNED82A offers impressive picture quality and a robust 4K Smart TV experience suited for those seeking bright, crisp visuals and rich colors on a large screen. Its AI Sound and smart features are solid, but the remote control and smart setup can cause some headaches. If you want cutting-edge picture and don’t mind adding a soundbar for optimal audio, this is a great pick. However, if remote usability and flawless smart connectivity are must-haves, or if you worry about potential early screen issues, it might be worth considering other premium LG models or alternative brands with stronger user feedback on those fronts.
