Cons
- •Significant licensing issues: the provided Windows 11 Pro upgrade key is rejected by Microsoft, causing inconvenience and unresolved activation troubles.
- •USB-C port design is shallow, resulting in loose or unstable connections when using power adapters or docking stations, especially if there’s movement.
- •Pen placement is inconvenient for users who are frequently mobile—it’s better to set the pen aside for ease of use.
- •The licensing problems have left some users frustrated despite the laptop’s high capability.
Bottom Line
This Lenovo Yoga 9i Aura Edition delivers on performance, display quality, and premium features like fingerprint and facial recognition; it’s truly a powerhouse 2-in-1 with a gorgeous OLED screen. However, potential buyers should beware of the current Windows 11 Pro licensing snag and the unstable USB-C port issue that could affect docking or charging reliability. If these aspects are deal-breakers, waiting for a firmware fix or considering alternate high-performance 2-in-1 laptops might be wise. Otherwise, if you prize speed and stunning visuals with solid security features, this model deserves a serious look.
