Pros
- •The 14” 2.8K OLED touchscreen display is brilliantly bright (1100 nits HDR) with vibrant colors and strong contrast, making it perfect for drawing, note-taking, and media consumption.
- •The pen included with the laptop is comfortable, practical, and boasts about 18 hours of battery life, seamlessly integrated with Lenovo’s highly accurate and reliable handwriting-to-text software.
- •Sturdy and versatile 2-in-1 hinge allows full tablet mode, not just a gimmick, which enhances usability and flexibility for different work styles.
- •Performance is smooth for meetings, note-taking, PDF annotation, and general productivity tasks, with excellent PDF markup, signing, highlighting, and exporting features.
- •The laptop runs very fast with 32GB of LPDDR5X memory and the Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor, ensuring fluid multitasking and responsiveness.
- •Wi-Fi 7 support future-proofs connectivity, while Windows 11 Pro offers robust productivity features.
- •Build quality is premium, durable, and easy to carry all day, contributing to a satisfying overall user experience.
- •The beautiful design is often compared favorably to Apple’s laptops but with the advantage of running full Windows 11.
Cons
- •The laptop is not ideal for heavy video rendering or large-scale multimedia projects; it’s geared more toward general productivity than demanding content creation.
- •Some users report occasional minor glitches with stylus and touch interactions, which can interrupt workflow but are generally manageable.
- •Windows bloatware is present and may slow down the initial experience until cleaned up by the user.
- •Reports of missing essential accessories like the pen and charger at delivery have surfaced, with poor customer service that discourages replacements and suggests returns instead, which can be frustrating.
Bottom Line
If you want a sleek, versatile 2-in-1 laptop with a gorgeous OLED touchscreen, excellent pen input, and strong performance for productivity and creative note-taking, the Lenovo Yoga 9i Aura Edition is an impressive choice. Just be aware it’s not built for heavy video editing or large projects, and a few users have encountered unhelpful customer service around missing accessories—a factor worth considering before purchase. For a similar premium 2-in-1 experience with top-tier pen support, you might also want to explore other Lenovo Yoga models or competitors in this class if multimedia power is a priority.
