- •It features impressive and detailed design elements, including a cockpit screen that opens with a push-tab and a dashboard button that fires both darts simultaneously, adding interactive play value.
- •The set includes interesting minifigures, such as Cassian Andor, Dedra Meero, and K-2SO, making it a great collectible for Star Wars enthusiasts.
- •LEGO pieces maintain the expected high-quality construction and versatility, allowing builders to also create alternate ships like the Mantis.
- •The final model displays well as a collectible piece, making it a nice addition to any Star Wars or LEGO collection.
- •This set is reliable and performs as advertised, meeting or exceeding expectations for both playability and display.
Cons
- •The set is smaller compared to the original U-Wing version, which might disappoint fans looking for a larger, more detailed model.
- •Some parts of the build process feel similar to previous kits, potentially offering less novelty for experienced LEGO builders who own older versions.
Bottom Line
If you’re a fan of LEGO and Star Wars, especially the Andor series, this Rebel U-Wing Starfighter set hits the mark with its combination of build fun, quality design, and collectible minifigures. While it’s not the biggest Star Wars ship LEGO has released, its interactive features and compact display appeal make it a solid choice for kids 8 and up or adult fans wanting a fresh take on a classic ship. If you want something larger or more detailed, you might want to explore other Star Wars LEGO sets, but for a moderately sized and highly enjoyable build, this set is a winner.
