Cons
- •Starter toner cartridges have a relatively short lifespan, and replacement toner is expensive, which could increase operating costs.
- •Replacement toner cartridges are vendor-locked and only available directly from HP in the US, requiring a US credit card, which complicates purchases for users outside the US.
- •Original HP toner is not sold by Amazon or HP in Mexico, limiting access for buyers there.
- •Some users report occasional wireless connectivity hiccups, although these are usually resolved with basic troubleshooting.
- •Toner cost trade-off: superior print quality comes with higher toner prices, potentially a downside for tight budgets.
Bottom Line
The HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301sdw is a robust, fast, and feature-packed all-in-one laser printer that excels at producing professional-quality color and sharp text, making it a strong contender for small offices or home workgroups. Its wireless capabilities and ease of use further enhance its appeal. However, potential buyers should be prepared for relatively high toner costs and possible regional availability issues, especially outside the US. If toner pricing or availability is a major concern, you might want to compare with other office laser printers that offer more accessible cartridge options or local support. Overall, this is a great investment for quality and reliability in office printing.
