- •Consistently reliable performance and high quality for color laser printers.
- •Excellent quality toner cartridges that outperform generic brands.
- •Essential for producing high-quality prints, such as greeting cards.
- •The three-pack X-size cartridges offer the best value.
- •Other color cartridges function normally, pointing to reliability outside the yellow cartridge issue.
- •Competitively priced compared to other suppliers.
Cons
- •The yellow toner cartridge is not being accepted by the printer, causing frustration.
- •Replacement yellow cartridges also result in error messages, hinting at persistent issues.
- •Cartridge capacity is significantly lower than advertised, especially compared to the claimed 2500 pages.
- •Magenta cartridge failed, indicating potential quality control issues.
- •High cost of replacement cartridges is not justified by performance.
- •Required to purchase multiple colors in one package, restricting flexibility and increasing cost.
- •Online customer support has been ineffective and unhelpful.
Bottom Line
While the HP 305A toner cartridges deliver excellent quality and reliability, especially compared to generic brands, there are notable issues with the yellow cartridge and discrepancies in expected versus actual page yield. The bundled packaging of colors also raises concerns for those who only require specific individual colors. If yellow cartridge issues persist, it may be worth exploring alternative products or contacting support for a resolution.
