Pros
- •High-quality and long-lasting performance with excellent color quality.
- •Cartridges tend to perform well beyond the printer's low warning indicator, providing more value.
- •Users highly recommend these genuine cartridges for significantly improved print quality over compatibles.
- •Strong color fidelity with no streaks or margin smearing.
- •Easy installation and competitive pricing, particularly noted at Staples.
- •The genuine HP toner contributes to better printer maintenance.
Cons
- •Cartridges are relatively expensive compared to the printer itself.
- •Packaging and shipping practices cause security concerns and dissatisfaction among customers.
- •Customer service issues reported, including long hold times and incomplete deliveries.
- •Some users find the price non-reflective of actual production costs, especially if recycling cartridges.
Bottom Line
While the HP 131A toner cartridges boast superior print quality and longevity, they come at a premium price. Customers appreciate the performance benefits of using genuine HP cartridges, despite some frustrations with shipping and customer service. If value is a concern, look for competitive pricing or consider aftermarket options, but be mindful of potential trade-offs in print quality and maintenance.
