Pros
- •Effectively kills insects, including black widow spiders, on contact.
- •Users appreciate the fresh floral and crisp linen scent.
- •Considered a cost-effective alternative, approximately one-third the price of similar products like Raid Max Spider Killer.
- •Efficiently eliminates fruit flies with minimal product use.
- •Spray nozzle is secure and effective.
- •User satisfaction is higher for immediate results, especially with feared pests such as spiders.
Cons
- •Uncertain effectiveness in deterring spiders; may lead to increased presence post-use.
- •Unsuitable for lasting spider prevention; consistent reappearance in treated areas.
- •Product's ability to kill roaches is questionable; many users reported roaches surviving after application.
- •Claims of 'Kills On Contact' and 'Fast Knockdown' do not hold up for roaches; they often recover quickly.
- •Can size perceived as too small, leading to demands for larger sizes or more affordable options.
- •Spray's concentrated stream leads to waste and less effective coverage.
- •Pleasant scent does not compensate for the overall lack of effectiveness against some pests.
- •Created headaches due to odor for some users.
Bottom Line
While the Hot Shot Ant, Roach And Spider Killer exhibits notable effectiveness against spiders, its performance against roaches is far less impressive. The fresh scent is a bonus, but not the main selling point. If you're struggling with persistent cockroaches, you might want to explore alternatives like Raid, which some users have found to be more effective in this regard. This product is best suited for someone looking for an affordable option with immediate impact on spiders specifically.
