Pros
- •The massive 116-inch screen creates an incredibly immersive and cinematic viewing experience, perfect for large rooms or dedicated home theaters.
- •Revolutionary RGB Mini-LED technology delivers jaw-dropping brightness levels, reaching over 7,000 nits in 10% windows and more than 1,200 nits full screen, far surpassing premium OLEDs.
- •Exceptional color accuracy with record-breaking 92.64% BT.2020 color gamut coverage, enhanced by 3D Color Master Pro and revolutionary color-emitting zones for outstanding color volume.
- •Minimizes blooming and white halo effects significantly compared to traditional LED and QLED TVs, thanks to the advanced RGB backlight setup.
- •Outstanding HDR performance with spectacular highlights, especially notable in Filmmaker mode, ensuring vivid and lifelike content presentation.
- •Native 165Hz refresh rate combined with 6.2.2 CineStage X Surround sound system delivers smooth motion and immersive audio for an elevated entertainment experience.
- •Features convenient solar charging for its remote control, reducing battery replacement hassle.
- •Performs particularly well with bright and animated content, making shows, sports, and games a delight to watch.
Cons
- •Some viewers notice blooming in very dark scenes despite the advanced Mini-LED tech, which can slightly affect deep black uniformity.
- •Motion handling shows minor limitations during very fast-paced scenes, which might be noticeable to cinephiles and gamers sensitive to motion clarity.
- •The enormous size and premium RGB Mini-LED technology come with a hefty price tag around $25,000 to $30,000, limiting accessibility to a narrow segment of buyers.
- •Its sheer scale and brightness make it suitable primarily for very large spaces, which may be impractical for average living rooms.
Bottom Line
The Hisense 116UX is a technological marvel that redefines what an LED TV can achieve, boasting record-setting brightness, stunning color precision, and a gigantic 116-inch display. It’s tailor-made for enthusiasts seeking the pinnacle of home theater immersion and uncompromising picture quality. However, the size, price, and slight blooming in dark scenes mean it’s not for everyone and shines brightest in spacious environments with dedicated setups. If you're looking for similar cutting-edge technology in a different form factor, or if budget is a concern, consider exploring other premium Mini-LED or OLED options—but for pure LED brilliance and sheer scale, the Hisense UX is tough to beat.
