Pros
- •Cats generally prefer this litter over others, and it lasts 2-3 weeks with two cats.
- •Lightweight and easy to store, perfect for a hassle-free experience.
- •Innovative color change feature helps monitor pet health by detecting abnormalities in urine.
- •Excellent odor control and super absorbent, trapping bad smells efficiently.
- •Low dust compared to other brands prevents sneezing in cats.
- •Compatible with robo litter boxes and doesn't need frequent changes.
Cons
- •Some users reported the litter became too dusty, causing respiratory issues in both pets and owners.
- •Concerns about cats becoming sick, with some symptoms like vomiting and wheezing appearing after use.
- •Higher price might not appeal to average cat owners, especially those without health monitoring needs.
- •Odor control for feces isn't as effective according to some experiences, requiring frequent scooping.
- •Difficulty reaching the company for issues or refunds, frustrating customers seeking support.
Bottom Line
Genius Litter offers innovative health monitoring and strong odor control, which many users find incredibly useful. However, recurring issues with dust and the potential for respiratory irritation might be a deal-breaker for some. The litter's higher price makes it more suited for owners particularly interested in health monitoring. If you have encountered the dust problem, consider it with caution, or you might explore clumping alternatives with less dust for sensitive pets.
