Pros
- •Highly popular among cats, making it a reliable choice for picky eaters.
- •Particularly useful for fostering cats, as it provides a consistent option that appeals to various feline palates.
- •Eases the transition to new homes by offering a familiar taste, which is less likely to cause digestive issues.
Cons
- •Concerns about 'shrinkflation' and deceptive packaging as the same price offers less quantity than before.
- •Ingredient quality questioned, with mentions of poor or controversial additives like copper sulfate and red dye #40.
- •Some consumers worry about the potential link to kidney disease in cats.
- •There’s dissatisfaction regarding the lack of transparency in the ingredient list and the alleged impact on cat health.
Bottom Line
While Purina Fancy Feast Dry Cat Food with Savory Chicken and Turkey is a hit with cats, concerns over the ingredients and changes in packaging sizes are notable. If ingredient transparency and potential health issues are deal-breakers for you, consider exploring other brands with fewer additives and clearer labeling.
