Pros
- •Contains 20 grams of protein per serving, making it a substantial meal option.
- •Favorably noted for being a healthy and convenient meal choice.
- •Some users found it surprisingly tasty, especially the green sauce, and have made it a regular meal choice.
Cons
- •Significant decline in the quality of the meal since Conagra's acquisition.
- •Portion size is smaller, and the price is considered unjustified due to decreased quality.
- •Issues with the chicken being dry and tough, and the tortilla shell having inconsistent textures.
- •Unbalanced ingredient proportions, with too many beans and insufficient sauce and flavor.
- •Several mentions of manufacturing defects, such as improperly attached film and loose ingredients.
Bottom Line
The EVOL Chicken Enchilada Bake seems to have started strong with some users appreciating its healthy convenience and decent flavor. However, current reviews emphasize a noticeable decline in quality after a corporate acquisition, with issues in both size and taste, leading to dissatisfaction with its value for the price. If you're seeking a similar but potentially superior product, consider exploring alternative brands or consider trying to enhance this dish with additional ingredients like chopped chicken and hot sauce, as suggested by some users.
