Pros
- •Long-lasting performance that significantly outlasts lower-quality alternatives, with reviewers reporting reliable use for extended periods like an entire weekend without replacement
- •Consistently available online through major retailers like Amazon, making it easier to purchase than finding in local stores
- •Excellent quality and reliability that makes it worth the investment for devices that need dependable power
- •Works perfectly for specific button cell applications like calculators, thermometers, and novelty items such as the Disney TRON purse
- •Comes in a convenient three-pack so you'll have backup batteries on hand when you need them
Cons
- •Significantly more expensive than other battery options, which reviewers consistently flagged as a notable drawback
- •Nearly impossible to find in local stores, forcing you to order online if you need this specific model
- •Packaging is frustratingly difficult to open—reviewers mentioned needing scissors and knives to break into it, which is especially problematic for older adults
- •Childproof packaging creates a tricky balance between keeping batteries away from kids and making them accessible for adults who actually need to use them
Bottom Line
The Energizer 357BPZ-3N is a solid choice if you need a reliable button cell battery that'll actually last and perform when it matters. The trade-off is that you'll pay a premium price and won't find these easily at your local store, but online availability makes ordering convenient. The frustrating packaging might test your patience, but once you get those batteries out, you're getting genuine reliability that justifies the cost if longevity is your priority. If price is a bigger concern than performance longevity, you might want to explore more budget-friendly alternatives, but for mission-critical applications where failure isn't an option, this battery delivers.
