- •The blower delivers solid blowing power with a variable-speed feature offering a good range of power options.
- •Cordless design with a rechargeable 56-volt lithium-ion battery adds convenience and portability.
- •Good build quality overall, with sturdy construction noted by many users.
- •Convenient battery charger included out of the box.
- •Eliminates the hassle and fumes of gas-powered blowers, making it easier on the environment and user.
Cons
- •The battery life is very short, lasting about 10 minutes on high speed and around 30 minutes on medium, which is limiting for most yard tasks.
- •The product is very heavy, requiring two hands and causing forearm fatigue during extended use.
- •Poor ergonomics especially with a nozzle that tends to tilt downward, making it hard to hold upright comfortably.
- •Battery charger reliability is poor, with multiple reports of failure after just weeks or about a year, and replacement chargers are a hassle.
- •The battery overheats quickly, preventing immediate recharging after use.
- •Breakage issues have occurred in cold weather around the main assembly connections.
- •The high power setting can feel inadequate, pushing users to frequently rely on a "boost" mode.
- •Warranty service complications arise due to some sellers not being authorized, leaving repairs in limbo.
- •Airflow (615 CFM) is insufficient for heavy-duty or large yard work compared to gas blowers.
- •Overall usability suffers from weight and design, making it less user-friendly for prolonged or demanding tasks.
Bottom Line
The EGO Power+ LB6151 is powerful and environmentally friendly with the convenience of cordless operation, but its short battery life, weight, and ergonomic flaws limit usability to small or light jobs. If you have a large yard or need longer runtime, this may not be the best choice. Additionally, charger durability and warranty support concerns may cause headaches. For heavier, longer tasks, consider looking for a leaf blower with longer battery life and better ergonomics. If you want an alternative focus on longer battery runtimes or lighter weight, let us know and we can suggest a model that better fits those needs.
