- •Modern, elegant design with a floating screen above a woven mesh base that enhances sound projection.
- •Robust spatial audio with dual full-range drivers, a 2.8-inch woofer, and Dolby processing delivers impressive sound quality for music, podcasts, and video.
- •Improved microphone array with far-field microphones provides reliable voice command recognition, even in noisy environments.
- •Alexa+ integration with over 100,000 skills enhances smart home control, shopping, cooking, and video calls.
- •Adjustable camera angle improves video calling versatility and includes a privacy shutter for security.
- •Touchscreen controls complement voice commands effectively, with quick, seamless setup.
- •Works well as a smart home hub, managing lights, thermostats, cameras, and more, thanks to Zigbee compatibility.
- •The device feels like a premium upgrade over past models, with solid build quality and refined user experience.
- •Alexa’s responsiveness and accuracy in voice recognition improve daily routines and hands-free control.
Cons
- •Reflective screen surface can cause glare in bright or sunny rooms, which can be distracting during use.
- •User interface and menu navigation sometimes suffer from noticeable lag and slow response times.
- •The newest 4th Gen model lacks backward compatibility with accessories and stands from the 3rd Gen, requiring new purchases.
- •Physical hardware buttons are harder to see and use in the Gen 4, which frustrates some users.
- •Some lingering microphone issues affect voice command reliability, persisting from previous generations.
- •Privacy concerns arise as the new camera design removes a physical cover, relying solely on digital privacy features.
- •Touchscreen occasionally becoming unresponsive was reported, though recent software updates have mostly resolved this.
- •Despite strong audio quality, some users feel the 3rd Gen model had superior sound at higher volumes with less distortion.
- •Battery life is only adequate; continuous use is best supported with the charging stand.
- •Mixed opinions about customer support experiences, though this varies independently of the product.
Bottom Line
The Amazon Echo Show 11 (newest model) packs a vivid large display with impressive spatial audio and refined Alexa smart home controls in a sleek design, making it a top choice for those wanting an enhanced smart display experience. However, potential buyers should be aware of interface lag, privacy design changes, and accessory incompatibilities that might dampen the experience. If you value superior sound quality and accessory compatibility, considering the 3rd Gen Echo Show 11 might be worthwhile, but for the latest Alexa features and a premium screen, this new model delivers solid value.
